DOOR COUNTY NONPROFITS
The Door County Community Foundation is an active supporter of the nonprofit infrastructure in the county. As such, the DCCF was instrumental in the formation of the Door Community Nonprofit Group. Amy Kohnle, Executive Director of the United Way of Door County, chairs the group.
Staff members from all types of nonprofits come together monthly to learn from each other and to address common issues. The members of the consoritum share resources, educational programs and opportunities, and relate what is going on within their organizations. Examples of education programs include:
- "The ABC's of Fundraising"
- "Donor Relations and Charitable Estate Planning Seminar"
- Board Recruitment and Development
The goal is to suport each other, be respectful of each other's missions and efforst, and promote the common good. Any staff member of a Door County nonprofit organization is welcome. Monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month from 8:00 A.M. to 9:45 A.M.
Please contact Bret Bicoy for information on how to join Door Community Nonprofit Group.
